Fort Boykin Historic Park, 6/13

Fort Boykin was a colonial fort established in 1623. The site was eventually abandoned and few parts of the original structures remain. Today, the site is mainly a park with beautiful, lush trails and beach access to the James River.

Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum, 6/11

The Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary was a business in Alexandria, VA from 1792 until 1933. When the business eventually went bankrupt, the building was closed up as is, leaving the original equipment and botanicals. It was really fascinating getting to tour the building and the store room. If you are in the historic district of Alexandria, be sure to check it out!
